Today I am pleased to announce the new Workshare Protect Server as well as the availability of Service Release 3 for Workshare Professional and Workshare Protect.
Workshare Protect Server provides a “protect everywhere capability” that secures confidential information being managed by Blackberry, iPhone and other mobile devices. It removes metadata contained in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PDF attachments. Because it cleans metadata whenever users are on the move, Workshare Protect Server is an integral part of a total metadata removal solution.
When integrated with a metadata cleaning desktop client like Workshare Professional or Workshare Protect, the total solution protects information and reduces the risk of metadata leaks wherever and however users are working – in the office or via mobile device.
Also announced today, both Workshare Protect and Workshare Professional have been upgraded and enhanced with a new service release. These new versions are faster and include numerous improvements in flexibility, and provide an upgraded user interface.
Workshare Professional has improved metadata removal and security features as well as its document comparison capabilities. You can view the updated features here. Workshare Protect is similarly upgraded with metadata removal improvements, learn what’s new here. Both products also include improved integration with different components of Microsoft Office.
