The response to the release of Workshare Professional 7 has been overwhelmingly positive from both customers and bloggers. We recently heard from Amar Munir, a Software Applications Analyst at Wragge & Co LLP, who said "We're very excited about the latest version of Workshare, particularly with the improvements to the installation and deployment process. Well done guys, version 7 is really easy and quick to install. You really got it right with this release."
Sean Doherty at Law.com came out with a review that has the most creative blog title related to the release so far “Workshare Pro Skips Version 6 for Lucky 7”. "After a 5-year run of Workshare Professional version 5.2, the new version of the document comparison tool is now available. Skipping 6, version 7 offers an easier installation and deployment and a new interface that makes more features visible, reducing the number of clicks necessary to compare documents, as well as protect files when they are attached to outgoing e-mail messages."
Charles Christian at The Orange Rag Blog had a sneak peek and liked what he saw "We've already had a sneak preview of the new Pro 7 system (as well as talked to some integrators about the product) and have to say we were impressed. Looks like Workshare has got its core platform back on track and moved it up into the Windows 7/Office 2010 era."
Not to be outdone by the press, industry consultants at Kraft Kennedy took notice of a new feature of Workshare Professional 7 that provides automatic detection and comparison of changes when attachments are sent, modified and returned through email, alerting users directly in Outlook. Senior Consultant Brian Podolsky said "I think attorneys will love this feature as it saves clicks and steps. Additional performance improvements have been made in the Workshare Protect meta-data removal module… What’s more valuable than an attorney’s time?"
And Richard Schulman, President and CEO of LAN Associates said:"As a high level solutions provider and a Workshare Alliance Partner, LAN Associates is very excited about the new collaboration functionality of Workshare Professional 7. The new enterprise wide management and deployment features provide ease of use and efficiency to our clients, which in turn makes it easier for us to support their needs."
In its Document Management Rollup CMSWire thought "The metadata removal interface is now much faster to use and easier to understand, so users can more simply apply appropriate actions when emails are sent."
