Duncan is a highly experienced private equity and venture capital advisor. In this capacity, Duncan also serves as Chairman of NextiraOne nv, chairman of Apsmart Limited and of Niu; he is an independent director of Spirent Communications plc (www.spirent.com), where he is a member of the audit and remuneration committees, and of EuNetworks where he chairs the nominations committee.
Prior to this, he was Chief Executive of Vislink plc. He has over 27 years of experience in company restructuring and the development of start-ups, including: Senior Advisor in Telecommunications, Media and Technology to the Carlyle Group; Chairman of Euphony Holdings Limited which was sold to the SeaChange in November 2008; and Chairman of Jacobs Rimell until it was sold to Amdocs in April 2008.
Anthony joins as CEO of Workshare after holding the parallel position at SkyDox, where he focused on executing the company's vision for delivering secure, cloud-enabled collaboration to the enterprise. Anthony brings more than 20 years of experience to Workshare and has built profitable technology ventures in Europe, North America, Asia, Latin America, and Australia.
Prior to joining SkyDox, Anthony was Group Managing Director at Interxion (NYSE: INXN) and was responsible for the development of the company in terms of strategic growth, business development, and executive hires. He was instrumental in driving the company's operational performance and building its revenue to more than $350 million, culminating in an IPO in early 2011.
Before joining Interxion, he was Senior Vice President and General Manager International with Broadbase Software [now Kana Software (NASDAQ: KANA)], where he built the company's international operations, growing the company from a start-up to an IPO with revenues of more than $100 million. Prior to this, he was Director, International Sales & Business Development with Red Brick Systems [now part of IBM (NYSE:IBM)].
Barrie was among the original founders and CTOs of Workshare, where he served as head of the company's research and development division. During his tenure, Workshare gained more than 14,000 enterprise customers in 70 countries. He brings over 20 years of experience conceiving, producing, and selling software.
Prior to Workshare, Barrie founded SQL Development Ltd, growing it organically and employing 20 people who produced SQL data synchronization software for more than 300 enterprise customers in the United Kingdom and North America. He started his entrepreneurial career by founding Information Management Services Ltd in 1990 as a software developer, building data matching systems for The Council of Europe, BZW, and several London law firms.
Andrew is a Partner at Scottish Equity Partners where he focuses on growth equity opportunities across the information and communications technology sectors. He is deputy chairman of SEP's investment committee and joined the firm in 2002 from 3i plc's technology team. Andrew has extensive growth equity and venture capital experience and recent investments include Kiala, the European delivery network which was recently sold to UPS and Zeus, an internet and cloud infrastructure software company which was acquired by Riverbed Technology and named Best Venture Investment 2011.
Chris is an investment director responsible for originating and transacting growth capital investment opportunities in London and the South East. Chris's private equity experience includes venture capital, growth capital and leveraged buy-out, gathered since joining 3i Group plc in 1999 and The Carlyle Group in 2002 where he served for 9 years. He has been an investor director on the boards of several SMEs in the UK including The Mill and NP Aerospace, and has experience across a range of sectors including digital media and media services, telecommunications, defence and security, engineering, semiconductors, and energy. Prior to joining the private equity industry Chris was with PA Consulting where he provided research and development services to business clients, and due diligence services to the investment community. Chris has an MA in Physics from the University of Oxford, a PhD from the University of Cambridge, and has also worked at the National Physical Laboratory in Teddington.
