Role: Test Analyst
Department: DC QA
Reports To: QA Manager
Location: London

Position Function/Responsibilities:

  • The Test Analyst is responsible for leading QA initiatives as assigned by the Product Quality Manager
  • The Test Analyst is also responsible for undertaking the duties associated with a Test Analyst
  • Test Project Lead
  • The role is also responsible for coaching and mentoring.

Duties/tasks:

  • Produce Test Plans/Schedules for release of software, identifying how the software will be tested, timescales, estimates and test milestones
  • Creation of Test Scripts and User Acceptance Tests
  • Execute system test scripts as detailed in the relevant Test Plan/Schedules
  • Monitor Testing Requirements for both onshore and offshore testing
  • Lead Test Teams and provide guidance to other Test Analysts to ensure completion of testing activities are satisfactory
  • To perform and mentor testing tasks to a high standard
  • Liaising with outsourcing companies to ensure compliance with out test strategies
  • Ensure effective Testing Coverage is taking place on all required environments.
  • Ensure all Quality Checks and Standards are being adhered to
  • Ensure all issues/requirements are communicated to the relevant personnel
  • Ensure all QA Reports are completed to the required standard
  • To perform coaching that is associated with Test Processes and Standards
  • Assist or lead Training Requirements associated with the QA Team

Knowledge/Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 year's experience of manual testing
  • Knowledge of automated testing tools or scripting would be highly beneficial
  • Worked with agile testing methodologies
  • Working with outsourcing QA companies
  • Familiar with Microsoft Window Operating Systems, Office Suites including SharePoint, Document Management Systems, Outlook and Lotus Notes email clients, Client/Server setup, Citrix and VM Ware Workstation

Skills:

  • Excellent understanding of GUI design standards
  • Proficient in software testing
  • Proficient in designing test cases/suites
  • Good variety of technical skills, preferably including programming languages and automation, database technologies, computer operating systems, Document Management Systems and email systems
  • Excellent Interpersonal Skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent Team Leading Skills
  • Ability to work individually and within team
  • Ability to be flexible, adaptable and multi-task in a fast paced environment

Work Environment:
Have a can-do, dynamic attitude and be comfortable working in a fast moving environment and able to react to the stimulus of change.
