Scott Smull - President and Chief Executive Officer

Scott brings nearly 30 years of proven executive leadership to Workshare, most notably guiding companies through periods of double-digit growth. Scott's extensive experience includes business development, financial leadership, operations, M & A activity, capital fundraising, as well as extensive experience aligning business, operational and financial strategies. Prior to joining Workshare, Scott served as Chief Executive Officer and COO for a marketing research and database solutions company located in six Southeast Asian countries.

Additionally, Scott's experience includes several CFO positions in software based companies including Preventsys, a pioneer in IT security and compliance software systems. He was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Nexiant, served as VP Global Business Development and CFO at PurePulse Technologies and as CFO at Linkabit Wireless, ComStream Corp. and ISSCO.

Valentine Bala - Vice President of Finance

Valentine is responsible for the global Finance function at Workshare. He brings more than 25 years of international financial and operational experience to his role. His experience includes Successful corporate turnarounds, efficiency and profitability escalations by establishing high-level Corporate Performance Management and financial modelling.

Valentine has served as Financial Director (CFO) for several United Kingdom-based companies whose businesses ranged from leisure to manufacturing. Most recently, he led financial operations for CCL Leisure, where he developed and implemented comprehensive financial systems, controls and methodologies to achieve real time profit enhancement. Previously, Valentine's experience proved instrumental in setting up international joint ventures, negotiating trade sales, establishing employee trusts, purchasing office real estate, and handling the sale and acquisition of subsidiaries.

Matthew Brown - Vice President of Marketing

Matthew has been a technology evangelist in the legal industry for more than 14 years and has been influencing Workshare's product development for more than 10 years. Matthew has extensive experience guiding software development for the most demanding document users and has helped Workshare become a market leader through award-winning software products.

Before joining Workshare, Matthew held a number of product development, product management, and product marketing leadership positions within the legal industry for software organizations and large international law firms such as Clifford Chance.

David Rowley - Vice President of Business Development

David is responsible for driving Workshare's worldwide business development, including strategic partnerships, OEM licensing, evangelizing Workshare's industry-leading solutions and expanding our leadership into new market segments, including mobile and cloud.

Before joining Workshare, David was principal of a consulting firm providing business and corporate development to early stage technology companies. David was also SVP & General Manager of Macrovision Asia-Pacific, across all market segments including Video, Audio, Software and Consumer Electronics. Based in Tokyo, David grew the Asia-Pacific operations from $25M per year to over $55M per year within a 2 year period. Prior to his APAC role, David led business and corporate development for Macrovision's software group, leading the successful acquisition and integrations of InstallShield, the market leader in Windows application installation, and ZeroG, the market leader in multi-platform installation, as well as driving OEM licensing, channel sales, and strategic alliances. David was also CEO and co-founder of one of the first SaaS image sharing companies, PhotoPoint, funded by US Venture Partners and Softbank.

John Safa - Vice President of Engineering

John oversees the research and development efforts for Workshare's entire family of products. He has more than 20 years of IT experience, including 12 at the executive level. An innovator as well as an engineer, he has over 20 granted patents. John is a recognized expert on IT security issues and is regularly quoted in leading media publications.

Prior to joining Workshare, John founded Bitarts Inc., which was one of the first companies to offer DRM activation technology for both PC and mobile devices. He also co-founded DriveSentry, an anti-virus solution for desktop PCs and removable storage that utilized whitelisting and cloud-based detection techniques. Most recently, John was a director at SDL PLC, one of the world's largest translation companies, where he directed the development in the Language technology division.

Steve Yount - Vice President of Global Sales

Steve is responsible for driving global sales of Workshare products. With more than two decades of sales experience, Steve has a proven record of building effective account teams worldwide. His hands-on sales experience includes developing and managing direct sales, channels, resellers, and OEM relationships. His technology experience includes enterprise software, integration and systems management, supply chain, mobility, and cloud SaaS solutions.

Before joining Workshare, Steve served as vice president of sales for both public and private software and technology companies. While working at a $150 million ERP software company, he grew North American revenues from $35 million to $100 million. The ERP company was then acquired by Infor. His executive experience also includes a successful IPO, several M&A projects, and venture fundraising.
