WORKSHARE CONTINUES RAPID GROWTH WITH EXPANDED EXECUTIVE TEAM AND CHANNEL SALES EXPANSION Symantec Veteran George Korchinsky Joins Workshare to Accelerate Distribution; London—March 14, 2005—Workshare, the leading provider of document integrity applications, today announced its continued momentum with strong executive hires in two recently opened roles. George Korchinsky is welcomed as executive vice president of market development, offering security and channels know-how to expand Workshare’s distribution reach. Also appointed is Vice President of Technology Ilya Beyer, providing Workshare with technical and alliance depth to deliver enterprise-scale services. “Joining on the heels of the successful launches of Workshare Professional 4, Workshare Protect 4 and TRACE! products, George Korchinsky and Ilya Beyer enter at an inflection point for the company,” said CEO Joe Fantuzzi. “George brings a track record of unparalleled achievements, helping software companies identify and penetrate ideal new markets and institute distribution strategies for sustained growth. Adding Ilya Beyer to our leadership team ensures the company’s ability to deliver centralized technology services that complement our proven distributed environment software.” Prior to joining Workshare, Korchinsky ran EMEA at Sun/Cobalt Systems, a Linux systems provider bought for $1 billion by Sun in late 2000, and stayed at Sun for three years. Korchinsky was general manager of Symantec EMEA for six years where he transitioned a tools business via retail-only channels into a broader security business via reseller, retail and OEM channels. Before working for Symantec, he was an early Northern Europe General Manger at the now industry-leading business intelligence company Cognos Software. “I am excited about joining the Workshare team at this point in the company’s evolution,” offered Mr. Korchinsky. “With our strong product line focusing on solving document integrity issues and supported by more than 5,000 customers worldwide, I know that many resellers will want to join us in our indirect channel objectives.” Ilya Beyer brings more than 16 years of “full life-cycle” software product development experience. Mr. Beyer was acting CTO with Kana Software for the past few years and also managed the company’s technical and Global ISV relationships with Microsoft. In 1997, Mr. Beyer joined netDialog as the second employee and founding architect and helped successfully sell it to the industry leader Kana in 1999. He is an innovator in the fields of enterprise software development, object-oriented methodology, distributed systems and software standards. Ilya Beyer was an early member of WS-I.ORG open industry organization and contributed his knowledge of various industry standards to WS-I Basic Profile 1.0. “It’s exciting to join Workshare as the company unveils significantly advanced solutions for secure document compliance,” said Mr. Beyer. “I am confident that my expertise will have a positive impact on delivering Workshare’s state-of-the-art enterprise-scale document integrity services solution suite.” About Workshare |
