WORKSHARE ROLLS OUT PRINT ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN FOR ITS DOCUMENT INTEGRITY SOLUTIONS

New Campaign Aims to Create Awareness for the Risk and Prevalence of Dangerous Content Leaks

San Francisco, Calif.-December 16, 2005Workshare, the leading provider of document integrity solutions, today announced the initiation of a new print advertising campaign designed to make corporate compliance, privacy and legal officers aware of the potential of sensitive or confidential data leaks over email. The ad campaign will appear in CSO, General Counsel and other trade publications and will run from December through the first half of 2006.

The ad campaign, which was created in-house is dubbed "Scary Math" and focuses on the unmanaged risk of documents leaving organization over email. According to research firm Vanson Bourne, 75 percent of documents sent via email contain potentially dangerous information, yet only 10 percent of users are aware of these risks. This, along with the staggering amount of emails sent with attachments, forms the basis of the "Scary Math." Workshare Protect for document security ensures all documents sent over email are clean and cured of data that has the potential to violate financial, regulatory or personal privacy statutes, or expose intellectual property. The ad campaign outlines the high risk level for this kind of information and provides Workshare Protect as a way to avoid these leaks from happening.

"Every person who uses Microsoft Office to create documents and email to share them is at risk for damaging content leaks," said Ken Rutsky, Executive Vice President, Worldwide Marketing, Workshare. "Workshare's new print ad campaign hits home by pointing out the vulnerability of every Microsoft Office user due to federal, state and internal compliance mandates and offers them a solution to avoid such a breech. There is an easy fix for these challenges, and it's Workshare Protect."
