WORKSHARE PROTECT EARNS RAVES IN INFOWORLD REVIEW

Touts Product’s Content Security ABCs, Alerting Users to Content Violation, Blocking Confidential Disclosures and Curing Content of Hidden and Visible Risk

San Francisco—May 1, 2006 - Workshare today announced that its Workshare Protect earned a positive review in InfoWorld for its content filtering capabilities to identify privacy, intellectual property and financial disclosure violations and alert the user to those findings. The review touts Workshare Protect’s ability to identify and catch these potentially damaging issues while not interrupting worker productivity at an affordable price. The April 20 review can be read at:

Mike Heck, InfoWorld Test Center contributing editor and author of the Workshare Protect review, states, “For organizations that distribute a lot of Word and PDF files, Workshare Protect successfully follows the ABCs of document security: Alerting users of violations, Blocking where appropriate, and Curing the problem when possible.”

The review also recognizes the product’s Hygiene technology, first debuted at DEMOfall 2005, which helps to spot potential compliance regulation violations, such as the inadvertent or malicious release of private information including social security numbers, financial data or a company’s valuable intellectual property. The review cites Workshare Protect as an affordable alternative to Adobe for its security features in addition to its ability to convert content to PDF prior to sharing over email. The review also previewed new Network Components of the Workshare Protect Enterprise Suite, which are now available.

“This review validates the depth and flexibility of the Workshare Protect solution to turn potentially dangerous content into safe content before it is accidentally or intentionally shared with others,” said Ken Rutsky, Executive Vice President, Worldwide Products & Marketing. “Only Workshare provides an affordable, flexible and forceful solution to avoid data breaches, ensure security and compliance of all content while not disrupting productivity.”

Pricing and availability
The Protect Enterprise Suite is available today, starting at $29 per user annually before volume discounts.
