WORKSHARES BLIND FAITH WHITE PAPER HONORED WITH TOMORROW'S TECHNOLOGY TODAY AWARD

Info Security Products Guide Recognizes Workshare for Analysis of Organizational Vulnerability to Private and Confidential Information Leaks

San Francisco — August 24, 2006 Workshare today announced that Info Security Products Guide, a Silicon Valley Communications publication and the worlds leading publication on security-related products and technologies, has recognized the Workshare-sponsored survey and white paper, Blind Faith: Executives Rely on Incomplete Solutions, Organizations Vulnerable to Private and Confidential Information Leaks, as a winner of the 2006 Tomorrows Technology Today Award in the Security Management category.

According to the paper, many corporations and government agencies in North America are not aware of how much sensitive data is leaking out of their organizations and do not have an automated standard of care for detecting and preventing leaks or educating personnel on information security polices. The study also indicates executives are running on blind faith that the incomplete solutions they have deployed have solved their data leak concerns regardless of their awareness of potential information leaks via electronic channels. The Blind Faith white paper was created to help companies develop and implement a comprehensive data leak prevention assessment and risk mitigation plan. Some of the more alarming aspects of the white paper include the fact that 94 percent of respondents reported having no visibility into how many email messages containing confidential or private information were leaving their organization each month or believed that some leaks were occurring.

Workshare hopes that organizations are motivated by this survey to investigate how they can properly address the data security concerns highlighted in the Blind Faith white paper, said Joe Fantuzzi, Workshare CEO and President. The Workshare Protect Product line is one such option that provides protection from content leaks without unduly disrupting users business lives.
