WORKSHARE INTRODUCES THE WORKSHARE READY PARTNER PROGRAM, WEBSITE, SDK AND PARTNERS

Microsoft RMS, GigaTrust, PGP, PostX, RPost, Secured Email, Secure Computing, Utimaco and Voltage Plug-ins Available

SAN FRANCISCO —January 29, 2007 Workshare, the global leader in secure content compliance, today announced the Workshare Ready Partner Program, charter members including GigaTrust, PGP, PostX, RPost, Secured Email, Secure Computing, Utimaco, Voltage and others, the availability of partner plug-ins and a complete Software Development Kit. The announcement allows customers implementing Workshare’s Protect information leak prevention solution to take advantage of existing investments in content security and compliance products.

This SDK and the shipping integrations extends Workshare Protect’s selection of content compliance actions to include among others:

  • Message archiving
  • Data-at-rest and data-in-motion encryption
  • Information rights, identity and access
  • Registered email delivery
  • Messaging Gateway Services

These “third-party” actions supplement Workshare’s native actions such as alert, block, clean privacy and intellectual property content, zip, quarantine, convert to PDF and remove hidden data. By providing off the shelf integrations and a published SDK, Workshare allows customers to extend and leverage their existing and future content compliance investments.

Workshare’s open program allows third parties to integrate their compliance and security products directly with Workshare Protect. The Workshare Ready technology enables a content-aware policy triggering of compliance actions, instead of expensive blanket application or dependence on users for enforcement of policy. In addition, this allows for the auditing and reporting on both policy triggers and application of actions. This intelligent security design provides the user with active involvement in risk mitigation—which then in turn increases policy compliance and product utilization and creates the ability for flexibility in corporate policy design and enforcement.

The Workshare Ready programs extends Workshare’s industry leading integrations and partnerships which already includes Microsoft, where Workshare is a Gold Certified Managed Partner, as well as Citrix, EMC/Documentum, Gimmal Group, Hummingbird, IBM, Interwoven, Opentext, Novell and Qumas. In addition, Workshare has over 200 security resellers and integrators in its partner program.

  • Workshare Ready Partner Portal – providing centralized marketing, support, and branding of the joint solutions offered by Workshare and its Workshare Ready Partners
  • Workshare Ready Download Central - delivering quick and centralized access by end customers to download and install Workshare Ready Partner plug-ins
  • Workshare Ready Partner Plug-in Certification - validating interoperability, performance and reliability of the integrated partner plug-in components
  • Partner Co-branding and Marketing Programs - promoting the integrated solutions
  • Workshare Ready Partner Technical Support and Assistance - providing integration development support and backline assistance for joint customer engagements
