WORKSHARE ANNOUNCES PARTERNSHIP WITH VIGIL SOFTWARE
April 21, 2008 – London, UK – Workshare, the global leader in secure content compliance, today announces its partnership with Vigil Software, the specialist IT security distributor. Vigil Softwares portfolio of information security technologies aims to provide its own reseller channel with the tools to help customers effectively protect their data. Vigil has chosen to partner with Workshare as it provides a key data leak prevention (DLP) security offering within Vigils solution set. Together, both organisations can better help customers overcome identity fraud and data leakage. Workshares Unified Content Protection Suite 6 is the industrys first solution to integrate data leak prevention with complete mobile data protection, including encryption of full disks, network drives, removable drives and file folders, plus secure endpoint port controls. Information in every file type and application is protected wherever the data is stored. The suite provides customers with the policy-enforcement technology to analyse content risk, convert content to appropriate formats and apply content rights to protect laptops, desktops, mobile devices and network gateways. Workshare was recently positioned as a champion in the Bloor Bullseye report on Enterprise Data Protection and the Workshare Protect Suite is already used by 4,000 customers worldwide. Through the partnership Vigil aims to secure ten active managed partners for Workshare from its reseller base. Those who wish to be considered as a partner must have undertaken sales and technical training, carried out a marketing activity and have an existing customer using Workshares technology. Importantly they must also be able to understand the value proposition for a true DLP solution in order to effectively sell the product.
