Workshare Increases Performance, Usability in Latest Release

Updates to metadata removal and document comparison software enhances performance, product quality, and usability

San Francisco, CA, March 22, 2010 - Workshare announced service release 3 of Workshare Protect and Workshare Professional. The release update to both of these Workshare products provide substantial upgrades which make the products run faster, improve flexibility, and offer an upgraded user interface, among other improvements.

The newly revised Workshare Professional is upgraded for its metadata removal and security as well as its document comparison capability. Workshare Protect is similarly upgraded with metadata removal improvements. Both products also include improved integration with different components of Microsoft Office.

When either of the updated products are coupled with the new Workshare Protect Server (also announced today) organizations can protect proprietary information across their entire network with a complete metadata removal solution. Workshare Protect Server secures confidential information being managed by Blackberry, iPhone and other mobile devices, removing metadata contained in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF attachments. Workshare Protect Server also monitors attachments sent with Outlook Web access and Lotus iNotes.

Service release upgrades for metadata removal and security include:

• Email addresses and distribution lists are resolved faster creating less user interruption
• Dynamic Discovery improves the user experience with more flexibility, faster alert windows, and real time discovery
• Reboots are faster and less memory is utilized as Protect no longer runs as a service
• Improved error message handling and easy to understand pop-up windows

Upgrades for document comparison include:

• Improved advanced table comparisons
• Comparison of Microsoft Word's drawing tools
• Easier user customization with the Quick Access Toolbar
