Workshare Releases Upgrade to Document Comparison Server; Works Seamlessly with Enterprise Content Management Systems

San Francisco, CA, May 10, 2011 - Workshare, a leading provider of document collaboration software, today announces the release of Workshare Compare Server 5.23, an upgrade to the server-based document collaboration solution. Among other enhancements, the new offering provides support for additional output file formats for comparison, reducing the file size of the resulting redline.

Workshare Compare Server can be utilized with a company's enterprise content management system or Microsoft SharePoint to provide a seamless document comparison experience. The solution helps organizations save time by streamlining document approval processes by identifying and reviewing a summary of the document changes rather than going page by page to review each change.

Workshare Compare Server 5.23 now delivers support for new formats for the output comparison document so that, in addition to RTF or WDF versions, the comparison redline document may be output in DOC, DOCX or PDF formats. The file size produced with the new DOC and DOCX outputs is reduced and saves storage costs.

In another upgrade to the new version, the PDF output format provides the ability to output a redline comparison document within a browser, using native PDF viewer plug-ins as well as offering a format that is easily viewed by any number of PDF readers.
