BlogThe 37th Annal ILTA Conference in Nashville, Tennessee has come and gone. This year’s ILTA produced a stellar lineup full of informative sessions, insightful conversations and good ol’ Nashville fun. “Imagine” was the theme that carried through the conference and sessions revolved around information management, legal IT applications and desktop products, technology operations and the future of legal technology. Workshare, this year’s platinum sponsor, embraced the theme by re-imagining collaboration with Workshare Professional 9, coming this fall.

The opening of the exhibition hall on Monday evening had vendors and attendees set in the famous San Diego Comic Con with cityscapes and superheroes decking the hall floor. At the Workshare booth, attendees took selfies with real life superheroes including Batman, Captain America, Black Widow and Poison Ivy. Check out our photos from the evening here. Congratulations to our partner, Travelling Coaches, who won the Best Costume Award!

Workshare took this opportunity to announce the re-mastering of DeltaView with Professional 9 - a new simple comparison and collaboration application for legal professionals. For the first time, users will be able to work directly from the DeltaView redline view using an “Accept or Reject” feature. The new feature will allow you to apply changes directly within the Workshare application – increasing productivity and improving accuracy!

Workshare also announced a number of key integrations over the duration of the show with Microsoft Office 365, HP LinkSite, OpenText, NetDocuments and WorldDox revealed as partners. Conversations at the booth highlighted the need for legal firms and corporate counsels to mobilize content, while maintaining visibility and data control, so we’re very excited by the opportunities these integrations present to legal IT groups who are battling to address this requirement.

In addition to the unveiling of our major release and new integrations, Workshare was also able to squeeze in a little fun. Bright and early Monday morning the Workshare team joined in the annual 5K ILTA fun run where our very own Matt Brown placed 7th for men and Holly Mills came in 3rd for women. Workshare also hosted a Wild West Party where over 150 guests hit downtown Nashville at the renowned Wildhorse Saloon for food, drinks, live music and line dancing.

Over the four days, Workshare gave out some fantastic prizes.  Congratulations to Michael Keenan from Nixon Peabody LLP,  Joseph Ierullo from Harcourt LLP and Nane Pr'out from Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP who stopped by the booth and got lucky in the prize draws.

Thursday brought the conclusion of ILTA 2014 and Workshare celebrated another successful event. It was an especially significant event with the release of Professional 9 as well as a week of learning, sharing and making valuable connections with the ILTA community.
