To coincide with the 2015 ILTA conference, today we are excited to announce that Campbell Killin Brittan & Ray LLC (CKBR), a Denver-based commercial law firm, has selected Workshare Transact as their new transactional management application.
In the past transactional management has been a messy and disorganized process, often inefficient and very costly. A recent Forbes survey found that the unhappiest job in the US is an associate attorney – ouch. Surely anything that the technology sector can do to improve lawyer’s day to day work, and help them work smarter will bump their happiness levels up!
With a $225m finance transaction on the line with a large commercial lender client, CKBR chose Workshare Transact to help them improve the efficiency of their legal transactions.
CKBR set up a checklist-based workspace within Transact that provided all users with a single place where all transaction files, including drafts, execution versions and signed documents, could be exchanged between the deal participants, in a structured and organized way.
And the results speak for themselves:
- 50% of time was saved on document-related tasks
- 75% of time was also saved preparing closing binders
- 80% reduction in emails circulating files
Justin Burns a Partner at CKBR using the application has praised Transact, “Transact is a great application, providing a much better deal experience for all participants. We expect to continue using Transact for our deals, giving us a competitive advantage in transactional work.”
Today at ILTACON, Owen Oliver, Product Manager for Transact will be speaking at 11am PT in Octavius 2 for the Workshare Spotlight Session: Introducing Transact – don’t miss it!
