How long will it take for the companies to be fully integrated?

The most important part of this combination is to ensure that our clients’ business is not interrupted, and we plan to integrate the companies carefully and deliberately. Workshare will be fully integrated into Litera Microsystems by the end of the year. Both companies will continue to operate independently in the near term as detailed integration plans progress.

What will the combined company be called?

We’ll spend the next few weeks speaking to customers before making a decision.

Who will be leading the company?

The CEO is Avaneesh Marwaha, who has led Litera Microsystems since 2016 and oversaw the successful integration of the four companies which formed Litera Microsystems in 2017.

How can I stay up to date on progress of the integration?

We will be creating an Integration web page which will be accessible from the websites of both companies in order to provide ongoing information and updates.

What does this combination mean for customers?

The first thing to note is that Litera Microsystems and Workshare have been through this process before when Litera, Microsystems, XRef and The Sackett Group were merged and when Workshare acquired Skydox and Ideaplane.

Our promises are the same ones we’ve delivered on in the past:

  1. We won’t make decisions in a vacuum - we will be working with our customers to understand how we better meet their needs once these companies are fully integrated.
  2. We will continue to support existing solutions for the foreseeable future.
  3. We’ll announce an updated product roadmap by the end of Q3 this year, with updates following every subsequent quarter.

How does this affect my contracts, fees, and rates?

Your contracts will remain intact. Through renewal processes, we will look to consolidate contracts into one and co-term renewal dates.

Who should our team call for support? Will the support hours change?

There is no immediate change to support. Please continue to contact support in the same way you do now. We will clearly communicate any changes.

What’s the long-term impact for us as a customer?

In the long term, we want to change the way you view the purchasing of document drafting solutions. We want you to be able to buy best of breed products, which integrate seamlessly, and be able to do so from a single supplier.

ABOUT PRODUCTS

How does this affect the products we currently use? Should we expect any changes to any of our solutions?

All products will continue to be supported, and customer commitments will remain in place. This is the same commitment we made in 2017 when we merged to become Litera Microsystems, so we have a proven track record of delivering on this.

Are there plans to integrate the Workshare and Litera Microsystems products in some manner?

An integrated suite is the right way to think about the future solution portfolio. We do not plan to build a single platform that has to be purchased as one, nor do we want to have a disconnected portfolio of point solutions.

Will any of our products be retired?

There are no immediate plans to do so. Our products are used by tens of thousands of users every day and a big part of why we wanted to combine these companies, as such we will continue to support the products. We are always reviewing products with an eye on what our customers need from us, and these will be no different.

What does the future look like for Workshare Transact?

We’re very excited about Workshare Transact. There has been positive sentiment around the platform for a long time and it has made significant progress in the last couple of years. This is something we look forward to building on.

What will happen to any feature requests that we made for one of the products?

All roadmaps are intact today. Any requested enhancements will be handled in the normal manner for now. As we execute our integration plans, we will use these as an input into our product integration & innovation discussions.

Our company is about to buy a solution from Litera Microsystems or Workshare. Should we wait?

In a word: no. We will deliver on all customer commitments. The benefit and value of all products is unchanged. We’ll be keeping customers informed about decisions on product roadmap and will have an updated view of this by the end of Q3.

We have a proven track record of integrating companies in a way which results in minimal disruption for our customers or their plans.
